2020 has truly been a year for the books. Unforeseen circumstances that has left an entire world in disarray. Normality shaken to it's core, loved ones taken in a moments notice, and everyone waiting patiently for the deadly storm to pass. Yet, as we wait, other issues arise daily. For some, it's been the worry of weather or not their children will have a warm meal, a roof over their head, or even if they will be able to return back to work. A year has passed and still everyone is trying to adjust to what has now become "normal".

Since this has began, I've heard numerous complaints from people. Why do we have to wear mask? They are useless. I can't breath with a mask on. The virus isn't real, the government is just trying to scare and control us. It's the Democrats doing this, no it's the Republicans doing it. Making us stay home is against our rights. I'm going to do whatever I want and no one can stop me. They are taking away our freedom, And the list goes on and on. I can honestly say that I'm in awe when I hear things such as these. I never knew that mother nature had such a political view or even took sides in congressional disputes, but maybe I'm wrong. I'm just one person out of billions. For those who believe the virus is not real, I urge you to go tell that to any of the million surviving family members, who has lost a loved one due to Covid-19. Tell the children or widows whose parents/partner died alone because they were unable to see them in the hospital one last time due to a "fake virus" Or perhaps the small children who are now orphans and replying on other family members to take them in. Still to young to understand why their parents are not coming home to tuck them in at night. The mask you wear is not for your protection, but for those you come into contact with. You have no idea if you have contracted the virus nor does anyone around you, so it helps prevent the spread and more people dying. If you can't breath with the mask on, then it's most likely you have health conditions, and shouldn't be out and about anyway. You are more susceptible to catching the virus, which means you are at a higher risk. What good are freedoms if you're not alive to enjoy them?

Now that 2020 has ended and 2021 has presented itself, there will be new challenges and obstacles to overcome. Even though the world wide pandemic still rages on in full force, we have been blessed to see another year. We all have struggles endure. No one is exempt from that, but how we chose to handle it makes all the difference in the world. So, to all my fellow humans, regardless of where you are from, I employ you to stay strong. You are not alone!
