"Never Again" from Treasures of the Heart

I am tormented by the harsh reality I must face

Devastated by the fact that a person

Who has claimed to love me

Has betrayed everything that I have believed in

Or held dear to my heart

In a matter of a second.

Haunting lies that echo through my mind non stop

Words that were spoken only out of spite

Doting over your accomplishment to make me feel pain and misery

For those are the only emotions that you possess.

I say to you

"Burn in Hell,

For one day I will meet you there and show you

The same respect you have given me."

Silence only lingers

For you are speechless and confused

You've spent a lifetime blaming your actions on others

Now that judgement day has come

You are alone!

No family or friends to be at your aid

In your time of need

For I am not the first that you have betrayed

In a way past forgiveness.

I do not hate you

Because hating you would be to easy

I feel only for you pity and remorse

To the point that you have brought this upon yourself.

Live within the moment

Beg for the forgiveness that you so desperately desire

For it will not come from me

My door is closed to you.

Upon your knees you plead

Tears pour openly from your heart and soul

As you grovel down trying to hold on

To all that you have lost.

Yet, no one hears your cries

Sees your guilt or even knows your pain

For you have been erased.

Your name is only a mere thought

That does not exist in my memories

Your face is that of a stranger

Your voice cannot be heard in my ears

You are no more!
